Ingredients:
6 Cup(s) sliced raw potato
4 Tablespoon(s) flour
2 1/2 Teaspoon(s) salt
1/8 Teaspoon(s) pepper, black
1 onion, yellow
2 1/2 Cup(s) hot milk
2 Tablespoon(s) butter

Optional Ingredients:
1 Cup(s) chopped ham steak Add to shopping list
3 Cup(s) shredded cheese, cheddar Add to shopping list

Directions:
Place a layer of potatoes in a buttered baking dish.
Add minced onion.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and flour, and dot with butter.
Repeat until all ingredients are used.
Pour hot milk over potatoes and bake at 350 for 1 hour to 1.25 hours.

Variation:
Add 1 cup grated cheese to the top of the potatoes 15 minutes before the cooking is completed.

Variation:
Add chopped ham to every other layer.
