Difficulty: Easy
Preparation Time: 30-60 Minutes
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients:
1 Cup(s) Freekeh
3 Cup(s) chicken broth
2 bay leaves
1/2 chopped onion, white
1/8 Teaspoon(s) allspice
Directions:
Cook it like brown rice.

Bring broth to a boil, then add remaining ingredients. Turn heat down to simmer and cook until the liquid is absorbed, about 45 minutes.

Traditionally, freekeh is boiled in the broth left over after boiling meat (chicken, beef, pork). Then the tender meat is shredded and served over the top.

Serve with yogurt garlic sauce (yogurt, garlic, olive oil, salt, lemon).
