Directions:
In a stand mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, yeast. Whisk to combine. Add butter, milk, egg and vanilla. Use a dough hook, and mix at low for one minute, until combined. Increase to medium low and mix for another 12 to 15 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap, and let the dough rise in the fridge for 8 to 48 hours. Press the dough into a circle that is one inch thick. Press the pearl sugar into the top and roll into a log. Divide into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into an oval shape. cook each on the waffle iron. Cover with plastic wrap and let come up to room temperature for 2 hours. Roll each waffle in granulated sugar before cooking. Cook each waffle for 2.5 minutes. |
