1/4 Cup(s) fish sauce
1/4 Cup(s) sugar
33/100 Cup(s) water
2 Tablespoon(s) lime juice
2 Teaspoon(s) vinegar, rice wine
1 Clove(s) finely diced garlic
1 small Chilies, Thai red
1 Tablespoon(s) shredded carrot
Set the carrots aside. Add the remaining ingredients in a bowl and mix it together until the sugar completely dissolves. Add the shredded carrots right before serving. Makes about 1 cup of sauce.
You can substitute vinegar with lime juice, but the vinegar gives it a brightness.
