2 Tablespoon(s) butter
1 diced onion, white
3 Cup(s) diced cooked chicken breast
8 Ounce(s) diced water chestnuts
4 Ounce(s) diced pimentos
25 Ounce(s) french cut, drained, rinsed green beans
11 Ounce(s) soup, cream of celery
1 Cup(s) mayonnaise
6 Ounce(s) cooked rice, wild
1 Cup(s) grated cheese, cheddar
1 Pinch(s) salt
2 Cup(s) fried onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Heat butter or oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute until translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl.
Add all remaining ingredients to bowl and mix together until thoroughly combined.
Pour into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Garnish with fried onions. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
